There are specific instructions how to check in - (the only cars allowed in city limit are for residents - adding to the pedestrian friendly city!) But allow me to go on and on about the apartment - I opted for a room with a view. As soon as you approach this town it is clear you will fall in love. To be honest, I fell in love before I saw the apartment. Overall it has a great location, the apartments are large and they have everything you need for a short stay. This wasn't necassrily a big problem for us as we were up quite late oursleves but if we had come with kids then this could have been more of a problem. The only other reason this was not a 5 star review is that right outside our apartment window was a bar which had live music until around midnight. The positive is that you get the parking cheaper through the hotel so make sure you pay for it at reception before leaving. Parking is a bit of a pain if you have driven as you have to park outside the town and get a free bus to the hotel but we weren't really aware of this before arriving with all our bags. The apartments have a basic kitchenette which is great if you want to stay in but you are a very short walk away from many different restaruants if you want a night out.
Our apartment had a great view of the square and the harbour which meant we could always see what was going on.
